Star Stance Overdrive is my own currently in development and yet to be announced bullet hell shoot 'em up game inspired by the Darius series of games by Taito, the many excellent danmaku created by Cave Co., and all other classic arcade shoot em ups, both western and japanese, that preceded it.

Sky Mall is a personally created near-fully custom map mod for the popular video game "Bomb Rush Cyberfunk"

I attempted to exercise and experiment using the full range of my skills at the time with this project.

The map features a huge fully custom modeled base mesh with thoughtful routing to provide fun gameplay.

Many custom shaders were created to simulate fun eye catching water effects.

The map also features a custom lua collectable system complete with UI that unlocks qr codes to download new playable characters.

Tools used: Lua Scripting, Milkshape 3D, Blender, Photoshop

This project started as a small theme suitable for the release of Stepmania (a DDR like simulator) on the Nintendo Switch. I kept iterating on my designs and it eventually grew becoming one of the most polished and visually enthralling projects I've worked on. Days were spent in Milkshape 3D as well as my handy Lua editor making each screen pixel perfect and thoughtfully laid out. Most every asset was handmade in Photoshop with Blender on the side for 3D model renders and assets. The 3D wheel song selection screen was a doozy but so much fun to get working properly and looking good. I'm very proud of how this turned out and was happy to see it even being featured at conventions dedicated to rhythm games.
